Baked Goat Cheese Dip

This baked goat cheese dip is warm, creamy, and easy to prepare with goat cheese, cream cheese, garlic, herbs, and a little olive oil. Serve it straight from the oven with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or your favorite dippers.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz soft goat cheese
  • 3.5 oz about ½ cup cream cheese
  • 1.75 oz about ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme, or ½ tsp dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp honey, optional, for slight sweetness
  • 2-3 tbsp nuts, e.g., walnuts or pecans, for garnish
  • Croutons, crackers, and sun-dried tomatoes for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Add the minced garlic, olive oil, rosemary/thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. If you prefer a touch of sweetness, stir in 1 teaspoon of honey.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased small baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the top is slightly golden and creamy.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with nuts, and drizzle with honey if desired.
  8. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or sun-dried tomatoes.
