Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz ground beef 400 g
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce 60 ml
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar 25 g
  • ΒΌ cup ketchup 60 g
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil 15 ml
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, optional, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for serving

Method
 

Cook the Beef:
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Add Sauce Ingredients:
  1. Drain excess fat, then stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and sesame oil.
  2. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Prepare Buns:
  1. While the beef mixture simmers, toast the burger buns if desired.
Assemble Sloppy Joes:
  1. Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  2. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if using.
Serve:
  1. Place the top half of the buns on and serve.
