  • 2 lbs. Honeycrisp apples peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2-4 tablespoons organic cane sugar to taste
  • ¾ cup water

Method

Prepare the Apples:
  1. Peel, core, and chop the Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples into small pieces.
Combine Ingredients:
  1. In the Instant Pot, add the chopped apples, cinnamon sticks, organic cane sugar, and water.
Cook:
  1. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 8 minutes.
  2. Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural release of pressure for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.
Blend:
  1. Remove the cinnamon sticks and use an immersion blender to puree the applesauce to your desired consistency.
  2. For a chunkier texture, blend less.
Serve:
  1. Allow the applesauce to cool slightly before serving.
  2. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
